Thank you for following along with us during Pride Month and learning about some fantastic organizations aimed at providing safe and inclusive places for LGBTQ+ people both on and off campus. Here’s a recap of the spotlight organizations:
We’re entering the final days of Pride Month! We’ve enjoyed spotlighting important campus organizations and scholarships dedicated to making schools/campuses a safer and more inclusive environment for people in the LGBTQ+ community. Today’s spotlight goes to the organization PFLAG.
In continuation of Pride Month, we’re spotlighting LGBTQ+ campus organizations. Today, we’re taking a look at a scholarship foundation that directly serves students in the LGBTQ+ community: The Point Foundation.
While June is a time of celebration, all year long, members of the LGBTQ community work in groups on college campuses to promote acceptance and provide support for students who may struggle with their identity. The Gay-Straight Alliance is one many students look toward for guidance.
The world is abuzz right now with the Tokyo Olympics and we’re having so much fun following along! Since we know which colleges in the US hold the most medals heading into the 2020/2021 Summer Games, we thought we’d highlight an organization that partners with colleges and universities for another type of athletic games: The Special Olympics!
