Valedictorian & Salutatorian Recognition

Melissa W.

One of the most sought-after awards for students starts on day 1 of their high school and/or college career. It involves rigorous classes, countless hours of studying, and believe it or not, a little competition, too! Only two from each class will be awarded the respective titles. You may also see them leading in their class during the graduation processional. Any guesses? If you guessed valedictorian and salutatorian, you are correct!

Valedictorians and salutatorians are traditionally the two highest-ranked students in their graduating class. Based on a number of factors, including GPA, grades in AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) classes, students are typically awarded the titles in the second semester of their senior year.

In addition to being recognized during the graduation ceremony for their incredible achievement, the majority of schools and universities give them additional regalia to visually recognize them and applaud their hard work.

Senior Class Graduation Products offers two traditional options for valedictorians and salutatorians: medallions and stoles.

Medallions: Our medallions feature a beautifully-embossed design on heavy brass with a hand-rubbed antique finish. Each medallion comes complete with a bright gold neck ribbon and is packaged in a blue velvet presentation pouch. The medallion is the perfect complement to the traditional graduation cap & gown to showcase all of the hard work your students put in to achieve the title of Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Stoles: Our stoles feature the position of academic achievement screened in black on bright gold satin. It is designed to bring visual recognition to the graduate when worn with the graduation cap & gown.

Valedictorians and salutatorians have worked incredibly hard throughout their entire educational career and deserve to stand out on their big day.
