Top 10 Graduation Songs of 2022

Melissa W.

May is just a few days away which means graduation season is officially here! This might be the most anticipated graduation season yet after digging ourselves out of two years of socially-distant/virtual commencement ceremonies due to COVID-19. We are ready and we know the Class of 2022 is going to celebrate in style. While Pomp & Circumstance is the most popular song played at commencement ceremonies in the United States, many schools, primarily high schools, let the graduating class choose another song to be played that best describes their personalities and often provides a snapshot of the times. It gives students a break in formality for a chance to sing, dance, and celebrate. A chance to have fun! Here’s a look at the top graduation songs of 2022 according to Billboard; some of which have been used in graduation ceremonies for decades!

  1. Graduation (Friends Forever) - Vitamin C
  2. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day
  3. Don’t Stop Me Now - Queen
  4. Good Life - OneRepublic
  5. Good Old Days - Macklemore f. Kesha
  6. Firework - Katy Perry
  7. Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare) - Kid Cudi
  8. We Are Young - fun f. Janelle Monae
  9. School’s Out - Alice Cooper
  10. my future - Billie Eilish

Class of 2022: Did your class choose one of these songs? Let us know in the comments! Past graduates, we’re sure a few on this list brought back some memories!
